How to silence the mind (choiceless observation)

"The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence."

nceTo observe without evaluating -

Is to witness life with a pure, non-judgmental awareness.

It’s a state of pure Awareness, like a child's innocent gaze, completely free from the mind’s conditionings of the mind.

Choiceless awareness is the ability to see things as they are

Without the filter of our personal conditioning, beliefs, or biases.

This has profound implications for spiritual seekers.

It implies letting go of the constant need to label or judge everything you encounter.

This includes your own thoughts and emotions.

Instead of saying, "This thought is good, that emotion is bad,"

You simply observe them

Like a scientist observing a specimen under a microscope.

This unadulterated perception is a gateway to understanding the true nature of the Self and the world around you.

When you don’t label experiences as good or bad, right or wrong

You transcend the cycle of duality.

You begin to see the harmonious unity in the flow of life -

Recognizing that every experience, whether painful or pleasurable, is contributing to your ultimate freedom one way or the other.

Everything in the universe is part of a seamless web of existence.

Choiceless awareness helps us understand the interconnectedness of all things.

However, do not mistake this state of passive watchfulness for passivity.

It's not about becoming indifferent or complacent.

It's about being fully engaged with life while maintaining a clarity of perception.

It's training yourself to respond from a place of wisdom rather than reacting from a place of conditioned patterns.

This is the first topic of discussion in the LessonToSelf Podcast.

I talked about the art of choiceless awareness in great details -
